Di sisi algoritma pemelajaran mesin digunakan untuk menghitung data dalam jumlah yang sangat besar, pemelajaran mesin kuantum menggunakan [[qubit]]. Operasi atau sistem kuantum khusus ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kecepatan komputasi dan penyimpanan data yang dilakukan oleh algoritma dalam sebuah program. Pemelajaran mesin kuantum termasuk juga di dalamnya metode hibrida yang melibatkan pemrosesan klasik dan kuantum, yaitu subrutin (&amp;#039;&amp;#039;subroutine&amp;#039;&amp;#039;) yang sulit secara komputasi jika dilakukan secara tradisional sehingga dialihkan ke perangkat kuantum. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Subroutine&amp;#039;&amp;#039; mungkin melibatkan proses atau komputasi yang lebih rumit, mungkin sulit diimplementasikan atau dihitung dengan metode klasik saja. Pemanfaatan komputer kuantum dalam hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dalam menangani tugas-tugas yang kompleks tersebut.
