Perak (47Ag) yang terbentuk secara alami terdiri dari dua isotop stabil 107Ag dan 109Ag dalam proporsi yang hampir sama, dengan 107Ag sedikit lebih melimpah (51,839% kelimpahan alami). 40 radioisotop telah dikarakterisasi dengan yang paling stabil adalah 105Ag dengan waktu paruh 41,29 hari, 111Ag dengan waktu paruh 7,43 hari, dan 112Ag dengan waktu paruh 3,13 jam.

Semua isotop radioaktif yang tersisa memiliki waktu paruh kurang dari satu jam, dan sebagian besar memiliki waktu paruh kurang dari 3 menit. Unsur ini memiliki banyak keadaan meta, dengan yang paling stabil adalah, 108mAg (t* 439 tahun), 110mAg (t* 249,86 hari) dan 106mAg (t* 8,28 hari).

Isotop perak memiliki berat atom berkisar dari 91,960 u (92Ag) hingga 132,969 u (133Ag). Mode peluruhan utama sebelum isotop stabil yang paling melimpah, 107Ag, adalah penangkapan elektron dan mode utama sesudahnya adalah peluruhan beta. Produk peluruhan utama sebelum 107Ag adalah isotop paladium (unsur 46) dan produk utama sesudahnya adalah isotop kadmium (unsur 48).

Isotop paladium 107Pd meluruh melalui emisi beta menjadi 107Ag dengan waktu paruh 6,5 juta tahun. Meteorit besi adalah satu-satunya objek dengan rasio paladium/perak yang cukup tinggi untuk menghasilkan variasi yang terukur dalam kelimpahan 107Ag. 107Ag yang radiogenik pertama kali ditemukan di meteorit Santa Clara pada tahun 1978.

Para penemu menyarankan bahwa koalesensi dan diferensiasi planet-planet kecil berinti besi mungkin telah terjadi 10 juta tahun setelah peristiwa nukleosintesis. Korelasi antara 107Pd versus 107Ag yang diamati pada benda-benda, yang jelas telah meleleh sejak akresi Tata Surya, harus mencerminkan keberadaan nuklida berumur pendek yang hidup di Tata Surya awal.
