Magnesium chart

Magnesium (12Mg) secara alami terdapat dalam tiga isotop stabil, 24Mg, 25Mg, dan 26Mg. Ada 19 radioisotop yang telah ditemukan, mulai dari 18Mg hingga 40Mg. Radioisotop yang berumur paling panjang adalah 28Mg dengan waktu paruh 20,915 jam. Isotop yang lebih ringan sebagian besar meluruh menjadi isotop natrium sedangkan isotop yang lebih berat meluruh menjadi isotop aluminium. Radioisotop yang berumur paling pendek adalah 19Mg yang tidak terikat proton dengan waktu paruh 5 pikodetik, meskipun waktu paruh 18Mg yang sama-sama tidak terikat belum terukur.
