Ada 39 isotop dan 17 isomer nuklir telurium (52Te) yang diketahui, dengan massa atom berkisar antara 104 hingga 142. Mereka tercantum dalam tabel di bawah ini.
Telurium yang terjadi secara alami di Bumi terdiri dari delapan isotop. Dua di antaranya telah ditemukan radioaktif: 128Te dan 130Te mengalami peluruhan beta ganda dengan waktu paruh masing-masing 2,2 (2,2 septiliun) tahun (waktu paruh terpanjang dari semua nuklida yang terbukti radioaktif)[1] dan 8,2 (820 kuintiliun) tahun. Radioisotop buatan telurium yang berumur paling panjang adalah 121Te dengan waktu paruh sekitar 19 hari. Beberapa isomer nuklir memiliki waktu paruh yang lebih lama, yang terpanjang adalah 121mTe dengan waktu paruh 154 hari.
Radioisotop yang berumur sangat panjang 128Te dan 130Te adalah dua isotop telurium yang paling umum. Dari unsur-unsur dengan setidaknya satu isotop stabil, hanya indium dan renium yang memiliki radioisotop lebih banyak daripada yang stabil.
Telah diklaim bahwa penangkapan elektron dari 123Te telah teramati, tetapi pengukuran terbaru dari tim yang sama telah membantah hal ini.[2] Waktu paruh 123Te lebih lama dari 9,2 tahun, dan mungkin dapat lebih lama lagi.[3]
124Te dapat digunakan sebagai bahan awal dalam produksi radionuklida oleh siklotron atau pemercepat partikel lainnya. Beberapa radionuklida umum yang dapat dihasilkan dari 124Te adalah 123I dan 124I.
Isotop yang berumur pendek 135Te (waktu paruh 19 detik) diproduksi sebagai produk fisi dalam reaktor nuklir. Ia meluruh melalui dua peluruhan beta menjadi 135Xe, penyerap neutron paling kuat yang diketahui, dan penyebab fenomena biji iodin.
Dengan pengecualian berilium, telurium adalah unsur paling ringan yang diamati yang umumnya mengalami peluruhan alfa, dengan isotop 104Te hingga 109Te terlihat mengalami mode peluruhan ini. Beberapa unsur yang lebih ringan, yaitu yang berada di sekitar 8Be, memiliki isotop dengan emisi alfa tertunda (mengikuti emisi proton atau beta) sebagai cabang langka.
