Gajah kerdil
Gajah kerdil adalah anggota ordo Proboscidea prasejarah. Sisa gajah kerdil dapat ditemui di pulau-pulau Laut Tengah, seperti Siprus, Malta (di Ghar Dalam), Kreta, Sisilia, Sardinia, Cyclades dan Dodecanese. Gajah ini juga dapat ditemui di pulau lain, seperti Sulawesi, Flores, Timor dan kepulauan Sunda Kecil lainnya.
